EIA Releases Short-Term Energy Outlook - December 8th, 2009 The Energy Information Administration released its annual short-term energy outlook report, on December 8th. Highlights: WTI Crude projected to average $77 per barrel this winter; next year’s gas prices expected to reach $3 per gallon; additional information available on EIA’s site.

Tennessee Renewable Energy & Economic Development Council - November 17th, 2009 On November 17, 2009, Pete Moss, President of FBA, presented “Bioenergy Industry Trends” at the Tennessee Renewable Energy and Economic Development Council Meeting.  Mr. Moss provided an overview of trends in four key areas including Sustainability, Renewable Fuels, Renewable Energy, and Unresolved Legislative Activities.

National Algae Association - November 18th-19th, 2009 Pete Moss, President of FBA, presented “Feasibility Factors for Open Pond Algae Production” at the National Algae Association Mid-South Chapter meeting on November 18th-19th in Memphis, Tennessee.  Mr. Moss presented insight into the pitfalls, project investment factors, and risk factors associated with the production of algae for use in renewable fuels
